$450 Whitening Special

One in-office whitening treatment, with take-home trays included so you can maintain it.

$450

In-Office Whitening Treatment

New patients only.

Does your smile need a boost? A professional whitening treatment can turn back years of staining from coffee, tea, wine and tobacco. In a single visit you will see a clear difference, and you go home with trays so the result is yours to maintain rather than something that fades in a few months.

Includes

  • One in-office professional whitening treatment
  • Custom take-home whitening trays
  • Professional whitening gel for maintenance
  • Guidance on protecting the result in the first 48 hours

Why in-office

What a professional treatment does that strips cannot

Whitening strips and toothpastes work on the outside of the enamel. They lift surface stain from coffee, tea, wine and tobacco, which helps, but it only returns a tooth to its own natural colour. If your teeth have darkened with age, that is not surface stain and no amount of scrubbing reaches it.

Professional whitening uses a peroxide gel strong enough to pass through the enamel and break down pigment held inside the tooth. That is what actually lightens a tooth beyond its starting shade. The concentration used in a supervised in-office treatment is far higher than anything sold over the counter, which is only safe because your gums and lips are isolated and protected first.

Why the trays matter

Whitening is not permanent. Coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco will gradually put the colour back, typically over one to three years. Because custom trays are included here, topping up is a short session at home rather than paying for the whole treatment again. The trays are made to your teeth, so the gel sits against the enamel instead of leaking onto the gum the way a one-size tray does.

Realistic expectations

What whitening will and will not do

  • Works well on yellow and brown discolouration from age, food, drink and tobacco
  • Works less predictably on grey discolouration, including tetracycline staining
  • Does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, bonding or fillings at all
  • A tooth that darkened after trauma or a root canal needs internal whitening, which is a different treatment
  • Temporary sensitivity is common and settles. Tell us beforehand if your teeth are already sensitive and we will adjust
  • If you are planning veneers or crowns, whiten first so the new work is matched to the final shade

If you have a visible crown or veneer on a front tooth, whitening the natural teeth around it will make it stand out. We will point that out before you commit rather than after.

Common questions

Questions we hear most

How white will my teeth get?

It depends on your starting shade and the type of staining. Yellow and brown discolouration from food, drink, tobacco and ageing responds best. Grey discolouration, including tetracycline staining, responds less predictably. We record your starting shade so the change is measured rather than guessed.

How long will the results last?

Typically one to three years, depending heavily on what you drink and whether you smoke. Because take-home trays are included, topping up occasionally is straightforward and far cheaper than repeating the whole treatment.

Will it whiten my crowns or fillings?

No. Porcelain and composite do not respond to whitening at all. If you have visible dental work on your front teeth, whitening the natural teeth around it can make it stand out. We will point that out before you commit.

Does whitening make teeth sensitive?

Temporary sensitivity is common and settles after treatment. Tell us if you already have sensitive teeth and we can pre-treat with desensitising agents and adjust the process.

Can I use this offer if I have insurance?

The special is for new patients. Whitening is cosmetic, so dental insurance does not cover it regardless, which is why a flat price is more useful than a claim.

What is the difference between this and ZOOM?

This special covers in-office whitening plus take-home trays. See ZOOM! whitening and teeth whitening for more on how in-office whitening works.
