What to expect when you arrive
We are on the second floor of the Bank of South Carolina building at 9403 Highway 78. Almost every patient uses the bank as the landmark rather than the street number, so if you are looking for a dental sign at road level you may drive past it. There is parking at the building.
Your first visit
Allow about an hour. That covers your medical history, x-rays where indicated, a cleaning, and a full examination by Dr. Mathew including gum disease and oral cancer screening. You will then hear what she found and what she recommends, with costs, before anything is booked.
Completing your new patient forms in advance saves the most time. If you cannot print them, arrive fifteen minutes early and we will provide copies.
If you are calling about pain
Call rather than submitting a form, and describe the symptoms. Severe pain, facial swelling, a knocked-out tooth or bleeding that will not stop are treated as urgent and we keep time open each day for exactly that. A form sits in an inbox until someone reads it; a phone call gets triaged immediately.

Where do I park?
There is parking at the Bank of South Carolina building on Highway 78. Our suite is on the second floor.
Are you open on weekends?
No, our regular hours are Monday 8:30am to 12pm, Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm. For urgent problems outside those hours, call the office line and follow the guidance on the message.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Photo identification, your dental insurance card if you have one, a list of medications you take, and any recent x-rays if you have them from a previous dentist. Completing your new patient forms in advance speeds things up considerably.
How do I pay my bill?
You can pay at the office, or online through our secure payment portal. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, and offer CareCredit for monthly payments.
Do you see patients from outside Ladson?
Yes. We regularly treat patients from Summerville, North Charleston and across the greater Charleston area.
