Dr. Mathew
Marilyn Betty Mathew, DDS, is a cosmetic, family, and general dentist at Ingleside Family Dental. At the practice in Ladson, South Carolina, she provides a wide range of dental services to patients of all ages.
Dr. Mathew earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Saveetha Dental College and Hospital in Chennai, India. She completed a general practice residency to gain clinical experience in general dentistry and had the opportunity to treat patients with oral cancer. While in India, she worked as a general dentist, performing extractions, crowns, dentures, and root canals. In 2008, she relocated to the United States and graduated from the New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry in New York City. During her time at NYU, she participated in research studying oral cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV). Dr. Mathew is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA) and Coastal District.
Prior to Ingleside Family Dental, Dr. Mathew worked as a general dentist at several private practices in Wisconsin and South Carolina, treating patients of all ages. She is experienced in treating patients with special needs. Her attentive and gentle manner make her a leading dental provider in the Ladson community. Dr. Mathew stays up to date with continuing dental education, completing courses in a variety of dental areas.
Outside of work, Dr. Mathew enjoys giving back to her community and often volunteers by providing dental services to veterans and the underprivileged. Dr. Mathew also enjoys traveling and swimming, as well as singing, painting, and reading.
