Facial swelling that is spreading, or any difficulty breathing or swallowing, is a medical emergency. Go to an emergency room rather than waiting for a dental appointment.
What happens
Describe the symptoms and it is assessed straight away. A form sits in an inbox until someone reads it.
The first priority is stopping the pain, which often means draining an abscess, opening and medicating a tooth, or placing a temporary restoration.
The full repair can be scheduled once you are comfortable, rather than making you wait in pain for a longer appointment.
Urgent care
Yes. Same-day emergency appointments are for new and existing patients alike. Several of our regular patients first came in as emergencies.
Time is held open each day specifically for this. Call as early as you can, since those slots fill. If you call late in the day we will tell you honestly whether it is today or first thing tomorrow.
You get the figure before treatment starts. Emergency visits are excluded from our $99 new patient offer, since they are a different appointment entirely, and we would rather say that than surprise you.
Handle it by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse briefly with milk or saline, never scrub it. Keep it in milk, or in your cheek if nothing else is available, and call immediately. The window for reimplantation is short.
Yes. Pain stopping suddenly can mean the nerve has died while the infection carries on spreading into the bone. It is one of the more misleading things a tooth does.
Yes, and sedation is available. Tell us when you call so we can plan the appointment around it rather than discovering it on arrival.

I went there for a cleaning and the staff was very nice from the first moment I called. I had my work schedule change and needed to reschedule because I wouldn't be able to make it to my appointment by that time anymore. They fit me in the same day in the afternoon and made sure I was comfortable.
My mom doesn't speak English, and she needed an urgent molar extraction due to severe pain. Dr. Mathew was amazing and offered to come in early the following day. They provided next-day care and were incredibly patient, making sure my mom felt comfortable even with the language barrier. The staff made sure I understood everything so I could explain it to her.
